Refund policy

Knowledge Shop reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel any event & training product, member subscription, or CPD subscription advertised.

Refunds can only be issued using the same method of purchase.

All refunds are at the discretion of Knowledge Shop.

Knowledge Shop will exchange purchases deemed defective or where an exchange is not available, issue a similar product or service, or if a similar product is not available, a credit note.

Events & training

Webinars & online workshops

If you are unable to attend the scheduled date and time of a webinar or online workshop you have registered for, access to a recording and any available reference material will be available to you through your user profile on the Knowledge Shop website.

Replacement attendees

If you have not accessed the webinar or online workshop, a replacement attendee from within your practice may be nominated without charge by contacting the CPD Team on 1300 378 950.

Refunds & cancellations

No refunds or credits are available less than 24 hours prior to:

  • the webinar or
  • The first scheduled event date of the online workshop.

If you are unable to attend the webinar or online workshop, a recording and any available reference materials will be available for 3 months through your user profile on the Knowledge Shop website.

You can cancel your registration up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled webinar date or first scheduled online workshop date by contacting the CPD Team on 1300 378 950. A full refund will be provided.

Refunds are not provided if the webinar or online workshop selected was not what you thought. Knowledge Shop provides an explicit outline of what will be covered during the webinar. 

In-person events

Our cancellation and refund policy reflects the cancellation and refund policy of the venues Knowledge Shop works with to supply in-person events. These terms, and money owing, are based on confirmed attendees. As such, we have no capacity to reclaim money that has been paid to a venue for your attendance at certain point in time.

Replacement attendees

A replacement attendee from within your practice may be nominated without charge by contacting the CPD Team on 1300 378 950.

Refunds & cancellations

Knowledge Shop cannot accept responsibility for a registered attendees late transport arrivals, non-arrivals due to delays, illness, or misadventure.

15 working days or more prior to the event date

Cancellations notified by you up to 15 working days prior to the scheduled event date will be fully refunded. No administration charges apply.

Between 14 and 6 working days prior to the event date

A full credit to be used for a future Knowledge Shop event or training program is available for cancellations notified by you up to 6 working days prior to the scheduled event date. No refunds are available.

5 working days or less from workshop date

No refunds or credits are available 5 working days or less from the scheduled event date. Any available reference materials will be provided to you through your user profile on the Knowledge Shop website.

Refunds are not provided if the workshop selected was not what you thought. Knowledge Shop provides an explicit outline of what will be covered during the workshop.

Cancelled events

Where Knowledge Shop cancels an in-person event, a substitute will be provided (for example, an online version of the same training program) and refund any cost differential. In the event the substitute does not accommodate, a full refund will be provided.

Knowledge Shop does not accept responsibility for any transport, accommodation booked, or other expenses incurred by the registered attendee to attend the in-person event. These decisions are yours alone.

Membership subscriptions
  • Accounting Practice Membership fee; and
  • Wealth Practice Membership fee

Suspension

Your practice can suspend its membership at any time for a designated period.

Although you may suspend your subscription at any time, the suspension will only take effect at the end of your current subscription period, and you will not receive a refund for any unused portion from the date of suspension until the end of the subscription period. However, you will still be able to continue to access the subscription services for the remainder of the duration that you have paid for.

To suspend your account please contact the Member Services Manager (members@knowledgeshop.com.au, phone 1800 800 232, or through the member portal help desk).

Cancellation

The monthly Accounting Practice Membership fee and Wealth Practice Membership fee is non-refundable.  

You may cancel your subscription at any time in writing to the Member Services Manager (members@knowledgeshop.com.au or through the member portal help desk). However, subscriptions are non-refundable and there is no right to refunds or credits unless required by law.

Although you may cancel your subscription at any time, the cancellation will only take effect at the end of your current subscription period, and you will not receive a refund for any unused portion from the date of cancellation until the end of the subscription period. However, you will still be able to continue to access the subscription services for the remainder of the duration that you have paid for.

CPD subscriptions

Continuing development subscriptions are non-refundable and there is no right to refunds or credits unless required by law. 

A replacement subscriber from within your practice may be nominated by contacting the CPD Team on 1300 378 950.

Knowledge Shop reserves the right to charge a minimal administration fee when replacement subscribers are organised.
