A Live Instructor Led Webinar

Starting and managing pensions for members can be complex.

In the SMSFs & Pensions webinar, we will take a look at the common issues we see when starting a pension. We will discuss how the timing of commencing a pension can impact the members personal transfer balance cap and the overall tax position of the fund.

One of the most common issues that crops up over the help desk is failure to meet the minimum pension requirements – we will discuss the implications for the fund and when you can apply the commissioners discretion. This webinar looks at these issues from a practical perspective using real life examples to provide helpful solutions to these issues.

There have been a number of changes in relation to the requirements for calculating ECPI over the last couple of years. This has lead to confusion within the industry, we will cover the options available to a fund to calculate ECPI and how different methods can have different outcomes for the funds overall tax position.
