AML/CTF Tranche 2 – Initial Training for Client-Facing Staff
AML/CTF-ready by July 2026 - Simple, practical training for your team
This training is recommended for client-facing staff of all practitioners who are subject to the 1 July 2026 commencement of the AML/CTF Tranche 2 expansion
A Live Instructor Led Webinar
Under the AML/CTF Tranche 2 legislation, accounting and SMSF administration firms that provide a 'designated service' must enrol with Austrac by 29 July 2026. Further, they are required to ensure that client-facing staff receive appropriate initial AML/CTF training as part of the firm’s AML/CTF Program.
In addition to our in-person and online AML/CTF Tranche 2 workshops for firms, this 1.25-hour online webinar is designed specifically to meet this initial AML/CTF initial staff training requirement in a practical, easy-to-understand format. It provides client-facing staff with the foundational knowledge they need to understand their role in supporting the firm’s AML/CTF obligations.
By the end of the session, participants will understand:
- What constitutes a designated service under the AML/CTF regime
- The purpose and key elements of client due diligence
- How to recognise unusual or suspicious activity that may give rise to a Suspicious Matter Report
- The importance of tipping-off prohibitions and how to avoid breaches
